2. Written Language
Target: To
motivate children’s interest in connecting animals to their foods.
Explanation:
Written language is another important skill that needs to be developed
especially for young children because it helps them function’s in the
community, in school, etc. Although 4 to 5 years old may not write any words
but scribbling is actually writing and even making lines and connecting dots.
For children all of those have meanings and are considered as part of their
early literacy. The activity I designed to enhance this skill is about
connecting farm animals to their foods.
Activity: Farm animal's dinner
I will provide a
stencil with the pictures of farm animals and its food in random orders. I will
ask the students to connect lines from the animal to its food and color.
