Dress-Up Activity

Activity Name: Dressed Up Activity

Age group: 3 to 5 years old

Number of children: 10

Length of time: 15 to 20 mins.

Area of Development: Promoting cognitive, social and emotional skills

Objective of the Activity: The children will be able to understand the concepts of how to get dress appropriately for the weather.

Materials Required:

• Dress Up Chart (Boy & Girl) - can be homemade or bought 
• Different clothes, shoes, etc... ( felt sheets homemade or bought)

Introduction: Introduce to the children, the importance of clothing in each weather condition. Ask the children, if they know the appropriate clothing for different weather.

My Role: 

• Give instructions
• Ask open-ended questions
• Facilitator

Detailed Progression of the Activity:

• Let the children sit on a semi-circle and give a hint of the topic for that day.
• Show to the children the chart for dress up activity and the different felt sheets clothing and accessories.
• Ask the children for an open-ended questions about getting dress properly according to the weather condition.
• Call each child to participate the dress up activity.
