Print awareness
Target:
To teach children identify between words and pictures and that picture has
meaning.
Explanation:
Print awareness is simply basic however an important part of literacy skills.
It is the understanding of what we saw in the pictures and in the letter
itself. The activity I design will help the children recognize and understand
that the picture has meaning and tells us something.
Activity: The Picture Tells Me So
Aside from the pictures
on book On the Farm, I will use other
materials such as flash
Cards with different
pictures of activity on the farm. I will ask each child to tell me
what they think of the
pictures are doing.
